Marina in Vila Real de Santo Antonio

Marina in Vila Real de Santo Antonio. We were told by a British expat who lived there year round that the boat, Lady Jean, is owned and lived on full time by a former British women's bicycling champion, and that, though she no longer sails since her husband died, she still cycles every day.

Castle at Castro Marim

Ruins of the 14th century castle at Castro Marim. Built on the site of Roman and then Moorish forts, it is high above the mouth of the river between Spain and Portugal, and in an obviously srategic position
