Philippines, 28 November 2017 - 28 February 2017
Ron leaves on 28 November 2017, arriving in Manila late on 29 November. Here is his general plan. He invites suggestions for places to visit and local contacts.
- Arrive Manila late on 29 November, staying until 14 December.
- 14-21 December: Travel by land to Legazpi City and Mayon Volcano, ferry from Matrog to Islands then to Island of Samar, bus to Tacloban City, ferry from Ormoc City to Cebu.
- 21 December - 2 January 2018: Cebu.
- 3-15 January: Travel by ferry back to Manila stopping at Bacolod or Iloilo City, the Isle of Boyacay. Puerto Galera on Mindoro Island, Batangas on Southern Luzon, and back to Manila. Rough plan. Will depend on who I meet and places I find out. But I know there are ferries available for this route.
- 16 January - 25 February: Undecided. Probably will include a flight to El Nido on the northern tip of Palawan and a long bus trip to the Ikfugao Rice Terraces in Banaue and Batad in Northern Luzon.
- 26 February: back in Manila for flight home on 28 February.
