St. Paul's Cathedral in the old city of Mdina. Built between 1697 and 1702, it is said to be on the site of a villa belonging to Publius, the Roman governor who welcomed St. Paul to Malta. It replaced an earlier Norman church that was destroyed by an earthquake.
