We flew to Rome on 20 September 2012 and spent a week there, staying in a rented apartment. On 28 September we took the train to Lecce, on the Adriatic coast for a few days, then took the overnight ferry to Dubrovnik, Croatia. We went south from Dubrovnik to Montenegro, then back to Dubrovnik and north along Croatia's Dalmatian Coast to Split and to Bol. We took the ferry back to Bari, Italy, from Dubrovnik, and spent our last two days Rome before flying home on 25 October.
